13th February 2009 A Salute to the Heroes of 26/11
Mr. Chopra and Aamir Khan were the guests of honor at "26/11" Mumbai Memorial Cup (1st Men's State Level Basketball Tournament) organized by the Mumbai Police to gather financial support for policemen who displayed commendable courage during the 26/11 terror attacks. In his brief and poignant speech, Vinod said "When I was leaving home to come here, my seven year old daughter said - Please tell the policemen of Mumbai that I feel safe and secure in my home because of them. . That thought echoes my sentiments and I am sure every Mumbai resident feels the same way." He saluted the police force for valiantly ensuring the safety of all.

The 33 day Bangalore schedule of "3 Idiots" wrapped up on the 6th of February. To celebrate the completion of the film's longest schedule, a party was organized for the team on the last day of the shoot. The cast and crew returned to Mumbai over the weekend.
"3 Idiots" resumes shooting in Mumbai on the 14th of February.
January 2009 3 Idiots to Release on Christmas 2009
"3 Idiots" will release on Christmas this year. Producer and Co-Writer of the film, Vidhu Vinod Chopra feels that Christmas will be the perfect time to release a happy and positive film like 3 Idiots. The shoot of the film will be 80% complete at the end of the Bangalore schedule which wraps up on the 6th of February. Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir Khan, Boman Irani, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi return to Mumbai and start shooting for the film in the city. The Mumbai schedule of 3 Idiots is spread over February and March. Kareena Kapoor will be joining the unit in March for the shoot.

Vinod Chopra got back to India to resume work on the rest of the projects, in different stages of production, under his banner. His three week stint in Los Angeles on Broken Horses involved meetings with actors and crew, finalizing locations and script sessions with script consultant Jason Richman(Bad Boys, Swing Vote).

October 2008 Vinod Chopra goes location scouting for Talismaan
In the midst of frenzied work on his feature Broken Horses, Mr. Chopra takes out time to zero in on locations for Talismaan (The ambitious romantic fantasy adventure that he is producing and writing) in the exotic and haunting landscapes of Bhutan. He will be leaving shortly for Los Angeles and New Mexico to finalize the casting and the locations for Broken Horses.
16th May 2008 Vinod Chopra Films Reliance Big Entertainment Announce Major Production Partnership
CANNES 16th May, 2008: Vinod Chopra Films and Reliance BIG Entertainment have inked a multiple film production deal to co-produce feature films over the next three years.
The first feature film under the production deal is a mainstream English language film, BROKEN HORSES, which will be directed by Vinod Chopra himself while the second film is based on the classic Indian tale, TALISMAAN, to be directed by Ram Madhvani. Read More
